Remember, systems administrators... it is not our job to control the users. It is not our job to limit where they go, what they can do.
Our job is much more akin to that of a maintenance worker and janitor. We keep the systems running, we ensure that the paths remain clear. And, on occasion, we have to take out the (tr/f)ash.
(This doesn't mean it's our job not to, at minimum, block access to bad actors; it means we need to listen to our users and act with their will instead of the will of those in power. Many Fedi admins will, i think, see and know the difference here.)
Back on the job/gig hunt again. If anyone had need for a purple team dude specializing in WiFi hacking, and endpoint/threathunting... I’m all ears!
Also, I am equipped and prepared to do contract work through my company if that is what you need too. Please boost the signal and help me put kids through college. :)
My car keys went missing and I have to pay for a locksmith, I also have to cover my credit card debt and other stuff while I'm inbetween work (Background check w/ Starbucks went through clean though so I just have to do the drug test) so if anyone wants to help me out feel free
It happened *again*, my truck was stolen *again* in front of my apartment last night. Looking for #Oklahoma tag JVZ 313, a 1999 Chevy K1500 Silverado. Here's pictures of it before I got the plates changed over earlier this summer...

Turns out there are a lot of opinions about the best way to enforce password length/complexity... I am shocked(I am not, in fact, shocked)!
Here’s the model... 2FA all the things. Non-sms 2FA is better.
Passwords are simply not enough by themselves... those numbers in the chart that started this discussion come way down when a determined attacker decides to throw resources at it.
Hello! Anyone have modern intro #SDR recs for a Linux/*BSD user?
There are a lot of outdated guides and recs of products no longer available, so I'd appreciate a perspective from someone who's either recently gotten into it or helped out someone in that situation.
Fuck. Yes. I hope they win.

Hack the planet, obviously.
A bunch of technomancers in the fediverse. Keep it fairly clean please. This arcology is for all who wash up upon it's digital shore.
