Hello fedi! I've been around for a bit but haven't done an introduction post.

I build stuff I find fun or think will be interesting/useful for others! I have a tendency to make small projects, usually to serve niche communities, or projects philosophically aligned to my beliefs.

Sometimes shitposting, sometimes serious tech, philosophy or politics.

Not a fan of capitalism, exploring anarchist philosophy as I develop my own views.

Open to any follows, please interact if you'd like, if we interact and you're interesting I'll likely follow.

Frankly, it’s nothing short of a miracle that there’s any social mobility at all because it damn sure isn’t by design.

It’s determined largely by public consensus.

What’s wild to me is how this is encouraged almost universally between cultures. Some of them are steeped in bigotry. Some of them aren’t.

What we really have is a sociopolitical paradox, in my estimation. People are simultaneously encouraged to both be the best version of themselves and be confident no matter what while also being told that confident people are arrogant and you should “humble” them and the only justification you need is your conviction.

I find it ironic when the people who believe those who think highly of themselves are imposing their beliefs onto others when that is definitely happening whenever those same people react to expressions of self-confidence with an intent to “humble” someone; never mind moving to do just that.

You disagree with someone’s belief about themselves and, in an effort to “prove” your belief about them supersedes their own, you go to unusually cruel lengths that result in humiliation of that person.
