The three hardest problems in computer science:

- Doing lots of things at the same time *but still in the correct sequence*

- Doing slow calculations no more often than necessary, but also no *less* often than necessary

- Quotation

I'm seriously going to put this in my intro lecture for cs.cmu.edu/~213/ this term

we don't really cover quotation but we for sure hit the other two

... mixing up malloc boundary tags with payload data could be considered a quotation problem if you squint right, huh
