Pinned toot

I've set my sights on an nfc implant that actually makes sense (has a whopping 2k of usable memory)

Anyone that has a xSIID/nfc type 2 implant that wants to share some tips? I'm thinking of saving a gpg-signed text to use as a trusted key to authenticate, since there's no real crypto functions

Chemical additives are saturating my sinapses.

My hands melt with the keyboard.

There's no barrier between me and the machine.

Is this the "flow" that everyone seems to be so keen on?

'cus to be honest, even though it's not healthy, I like the rush.

🚨 H4CK4T0N WITH A SMALL PRIZE :crt_w_prompt: :boost_ok:

Don't know exactly why, but upside down photos always give me a deep, undescribable sense of dread and unease.

Definitely not a good thing, but I revel in this feeling.

You might say that I have a deep appreciation for patterns.

Are we nothing more than pattern recognizing machines, after all?

Noob question:

let's say I have two identical drives, A and B.

Let's say I want to reduce data loss chances to a minimum.

Would it be better to:
1) setup a zfs mirror with both A and B
2) schedule a recurrent rsynch backup from A to B

Boosts most welcome :)

Original photo of the sun's corona is by the Inteface Region Imaging Spectograph (IRIS) mission, if I recall correctly.

Although, not having the master images anymore, it's lost to time, like documents in a GPT-erased hard drive.

One more, before I get back to work.

(The original one got eaten up by the Big Cloud in the Sky, sadly.)

Let's try something different.

I'll share a bit of media generated by this confused neural wetware.

Is Mastodon a good (excuse the term) social platform in which ""art"" can work?

To all my fellow CET (and similar timezones) netizens, currently pounding caffeine to hack more through the night.

I salute you.

May your PoCs be cool.

My face is a scrambled mess of bytes.

My body impermanent, ephemeral like flash storage.

My soul, free on the ether.

I'm nameless as .

(And totally )

the difference between an engineer and witch:
- an engineer knows that if a part is designed for one purpose, it won't work well in others
- a witch knows that "what it was made for" is always a subset of "what it can do"

"The evidence from astronomy, bio-chemistry, genetics, nuclear-physics, defines the true frontier of philosophy and religion. Scientific American is more "far-out" than any occult magazine, the Periodic Table of Elements more prophetic than the Tarot deck. The nucleus of the atom is a realm more mysterious and omnicient than any theological fantasy. The cosmology of an expanding-universe-riddled-with-Black-Holes more bizarre than the eschatologies of Dante, Homer and Ramayana."

This crypto-occultist (and I sincerely hope, fake) collection of websites and hyperlinks.sometimes has some perls of genuinely cool stuff.

I have a cool idea for a video project
but it *needs* to be in vertical video format.

Curse us, the "we have weirdly shaped video devices that got us used to a 9:16 screen ratio"

Does anyone have any tips on how to work with vertical video production? As of now I'm doing stuff like masking the sides of my monitor feed with paper in order to frame stuff properly

(Boosts are more than welcome)

Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!' I shrieked upstarting -
Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!'

Quoth the raven:
'Pipeline #845 failed'

A bunch of technomancers in the fediverse. Keep it fairly clean please. This arcology is for all who wash up upon it's digital shore.
