I understand the frustration, but chances are decent that they literally don't know how to make a website or the person who is supposed to help them keeps forgetting because it's not their primary job and they aren't getting paid. It would be better if the unpaid helper had never agreed to help and just pointed them at some prefab solution like squarespace, but sometimes the energy of the moment leads to stupid promises.
