I'm thinking to add a second protocol for https://hambsd.org information in addition to having the website, but encryption over the radio is usually illegal. What should I add?
@irl maybe Mercury, a lighter version of gemini without TLS (by the gemini protocol author)
gemini://gemini.circumlunar.space/~solderpunk/gemlog/the-mercury-protocol.gmi
@F1RUM @irl interesting proposal ... but this bit makes it no better than Gopher IMHO:
5. The text/gemini syntax is stripped back to just two line types: links, and plain text. Plain text lines are still wrapped by the client, as they currently are in Gemini.
The main benefit I get from writing and reading on Gemini is the improved formatting of the text, and this reads like it would remove headings, numbered lists, blockquotes, etc.
@irl is your website going to be available via radio?
The bandwidth available via radio will be low, so I think gopher is the only viable option?
