USpol, wtf

I always say "they always accuse others of what they do," but this makes me want to just go back to bed.

"Trump allies breach U.S. voting systems in search of 2020 fraud ‘evidence’"

USpol, wtf

@drwho

Too bad they're not serious about spearheading a return to paper balloting. Because that's what we should've stuck with all along. :/

USpol, wtf

@xenophora @drwho Electronic is fine if it's sufficiently transparent/audited and there is a paper receipt the voter can verify that's used for any necessary recounts.

USpol, wtf

@freakazoid @drwho

But it was established a long time ago that the people who had the keys to the system were untrustworthy. It was never necessary to mechanize the system and we would've been better off without that.

As is customary, the winners don't care about problems until they're suddenly not winning anymore. Really, it's a stretch to imagine that either team gives a rat's ass about voters' rights at all.

USpol, wtf

@xenophora @drwho I agree they don't really care about voters' rights. If the disenfranchised group were evenly split neither party would give a shit.

USpol, wtf

@xenophora @drwho Though I guess there's the fact that a lot of older voters who tend to vote Republican make use of conveniences supported by the Democrats, so maybe I'm wrong.

USpol, wtf

@freakazoid @drwho

Democrats have endless energy for running Green challengers through an endless mill of heavy-duty signature gathering and then dragging those challengers into court and draining already-low coffers with ugly, uncalled-for lawsuits.

Both major parties can bite me hard. Really, they already do. :/

re: USpol, wtf

@xenophora That's what we've got in California, if only because it's much more difficult to fuck with.

Yes, there's a story here.

USpol, wtf

@drwho Reading this as a fence-sitter would, I'm guessing this will only outrage people who are already outraged by the Trump crowd.

re: USpol, wtf

@freakazoid Pretty much. Not many people cared before, probably fewer care now.
