What differentiates jamming from zipping?
Jamming is when you blot out a signal with noise - static, polytones, a long beep. It wipes the information content out completely.
Zipping is when you blot out a signal with a different, meaningful signal that overwrites the first. For example, broadcasting Taco Bell commercials over a numbers station broadcast. Or the Max Headroom incident.
Generally, zipping is much funnier.
