Here's more of Gavin Wood completely missing the point. Trust is how social fabrics are formed in the first place. There will always be, to some degree, trust involved. You can't get rid of it. Reducing it pushes work around (mostly to the individiual) but doesn't reduce it.
Cryptography does not solve this problem, despite what the web3 proponents claim.
They are fundamentally wrong here. If they succeed in tearing down existing systems, they will, in all likelihood, set humanity back and it will eventually reform into something resembling what we already have.
