Let's just say that using EDLIN to edit C code is not an optimal experience.

@tsturm @GeoffWozniak I was going to say at least it's better than punchcards. But then I realised that C has probably never been written using punchcards.

So yeah, edlin is likely the worst editor that has been used for this purpose

@tsturm Happily, the compiler I'm trying out comes with its own editor that is a vi clone.

I used edlin to edit the autoexec.bat and config.sys files. Wow. Don't recommend that to anyone.

@GeoffWozniak I've used ed (the standard editor) on C and Pascal quite a bit, but certainly preferred MWC's me, later stevie, elvis, vim. But EDLIN's not even as nice as ed.
